
Following the outcry of the chieftains of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP accusing the Buhari administration of harassing and witch hunting their members, the Presidency replied them to stop raising false alarm stressing that anyone who has not erred will not be arrested.
It will be recalled that at separate for a, former Governor of Akwa Ibom state and Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose had accused Buhari of selective probing of alleged corruption cases.
Mr. Femi Adesina, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity restated that the Government will not look back on the fight against graft.
His words, “It is only the guilty that can be afraid. If anybody is not guilty, they should not be afraid. This president will not witch-hunt anybody. But is anyone has skelton in his cupboard, he has every right to be afraid.
“If they don’t have skeltons in their cupboard, they have no cause to be afraid but anybody that has any skelton in his cupboard has every right to be afraid.
“War against corruption is one of the cardinal objectives of this administration and the war will not hold on because some people are afraid.
“The war will continue, no matter whose ox is gored, So, if anybody has skelton in his cupboard, yes, he has a right to be afraid but the war is not targeted at anybody”
