Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has said that for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to succeed in 2023, there must be unity among the rank and file and leaders of the party.
Obasa explained that it is only through unity can the party can sustain its leading role and victories in elections in the state in particular and Nigeria in general.
The Speaker gave this admonition when he received the APC chairmen in all the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) at the Assembly complex in Lagos.
Obasa, who is the chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, appealed to the party chairmen at the state and local level to always maintain cordial relationships, work in the interest of the party and avoid deviation as a result of the quest for personal gains.
The Speaker assured that the party and its elected and appointed officials are aware of the sacrifices the chairmen have made over time for the success of the APC.
