One of Nigeria’s leading Oil and Gas Consultants, Mrs Ronke Onadeko has tasked the new Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mr Emmanuel Kachikwu on restructuring the nation’s oil corporation in line with the Global best Practice.
Onadeko, who exclusively spoke with The Complete News recently identified massive corruption in the corporation as the major bane of the NNPC. She challenged the NNPC boss to justify the trust reposed in him by the Nigerian people by cleaning the Augean stable.
On what she expected from Kachikwu, the Consultant said, “I look forward to hearing what his agenda is for the sector and I particularly hope to see some elements of downstream sector privatization and development, gas infrastructure development, increased refining capacity, elimination of middle men in export transactions, quick resolution of factors deterring investment in exploration and building up our Ferber that have been stagnated over the past regime.
“I pray for Gods guidance and he takes on this controversial role with the inherited decay of the sector. May his tenure record great upward and onward strides, transparency, accountability and cooperation of all the stakeholders”.
Onadeko, however advised him to carry the stakeholders along in his reform mission.
