Obviously overwhelmed by the public outrage that trailed the report on the 225m armoured cars bought for her by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, embattled Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, today shunned the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Anti- corruption Network, a group led by former member of the House of Representatives, Dino Malaye today protested in Abuja calling for the sack of the minister.
Oduah is currently in the eye of the storm over the purchase of two bulletproof cars for her by the Nigerians Civil Aviation Authority. The vehicles are valued at a whopping $1.6m (about N255m).
Nigerians both at home and abroad had been calling for her sacking or resignation .
The Presidency which had kept a sealed lip over the raging scandal broke silence today. The Presidential Spokesman, Dr. Rueben Abati disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan has set up a 3-man panel to probe the scandal.
