
Yoruba Nation agitators on Monday held a rally around Ikorodu Roundabout in Lagos on Monday.
COMPLETE NEWS correspondent who witnessed the rally Monday afternoon saw the campaigners numbering about 30 clad in vests with Yoruba Nation inscription dancing to revolutionary songs of late Fuji Icon, Sikiru Ayinde.
It will be recalled that clamour for self-determination for Yoruba Nation has heightened in recent days. The agitators among other things claimed that the current Nigerian structures are inimical to advancement of the region.
Motorists and passers-by were seen watching the rally with mixed-feelings.
The Ikorodu rally came a few days after a popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho,joined other agitators at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo, the Osun State capital, to demand Yoruba Nation.
Igboho, who spoke at the venue of the mega rally, also demanded the release of operatives of the Oodua Peoples Congress who were detained for arresting notorious Fulani herder, Iskilu Wakili, in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State.
