The ambition of Chief Lanre Ipinmisho to govern Kogi State got a boost as a group, Okun Progressive Union said he was the best to govern the North central State because of his anti-corruption posture.
The Chairman of the union, Mr Yomi Omonale, in an interview with news men today in Lokoja, the State capital described all aspirants except Ipinmisho jostling for the top job as embezzlers.
“Everyone contesting now in all the political parties is still in the same set of embezzlers; we need a man of vision like Ipinmisho,” he said.
He said that the aspirant was credible and was known for his good records at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Omonale solicited for maximum support and cooperation from all Okun people to the aspiration of the Ipinmisho, describing him as “the long awaited messiah who would deliver the state”.
