Gombe town was a shadow of its self following the multiple bomb blasts that rocked the down early this morning.
According to a source in the state owned Gombe specialist Hospital where blast victims were rushed said the blast was devastating adding that no fewer than 100 casualties have been admitted in the hospital.
The Complete News also added that the town has been deserted by traders and residents who lived close to the blast scene.
Meanwhile, a local rescue official who pleaded anonymity said eight bodies had been brought to one area hospital.
The spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, Manzo Ezekiel, told AFP his staff had confirmed five dead but noted the toll could be higher and said that at least 34 people were wounded in the attack.
