Hundreds of participants at the just concluded United Action for Change, UAC Youth Leadership Training Programme were overwhelmed with joy as they took memorable pictures with the UAC Convener, Dr Muiz Adeyemi Banire, UAC National Coordinator, Mr Niyi Akinsiji, Mr Lanre Suraj, Mr AbdurRaham Lekki, Programme Coordinator and Mr Tobi Akinnike, Youth Coordinator.
The youths, who drawn across various states of the federation had undergone a 3-day intensive training on leadership, entrepreneurship, civic duties among others expressed readiness to become positive change agents in their respective communities.

Earlier, popular Comedian and Compere, Mr Olateju Oyelakin (Teju Babyface), who was one of the lead speakers at the programmer charged the youths to break barriers and fulfil their destinies. Oyelakin encouraged the participants to get a copy of his book titled, ” Secrets of the Streets’ which chronicles his journey to stardom and principles he leveraged to attain prominence.
He said, ” The training you have got during this period has put you far ahead of your contemporaries. It shows you placed premium on knowledge”.
In his usual benevolence style, the Convener of the UAC, Dr Muiz Adeyemi Banire, SAN bought the books for all the participants of the training. Banire, implored the training beneficiaries to all speak up against injustice and always ready to contribute to the development of the nation.
Banire said, ” My conviction has been validated because i know we have all been transformed. Infact, i communicated what what i learnt to my children who are not around.
He asked to root for merit system rather than the quota system in governance. According to him, the quota system breeds mediocrity which ‘is the bane of the nation’s development.

Comrade Olanrewaju Suraj, who was one of the facilitators at the training charged the trainees to be agents of change in their respective communities. He applauded them for maintaining high attention rate while the training lasted. ” We should discard entitlement and slavery mentality by not asking what is in it for us but rather we should seek to add value”, Suraj admonished.
Otugeme Ekene, a participant who was thrilled by the resources committed to the training by the UAC confessed ” I came from Mushin and i am going back a better a better person. I am ready to change my world”.
Tunji Mustapha, another participant said, ” I was a bit reluctant when i arrived for the training until i heard the speakers. I have been transformed. I am glad i stayed back”. He said, his group (Group 4) had agreed to entend the frontiers of the UAC advocay for probity in governance to various communities in Lagos.
Another Participant, Abdulmojeed Olayinka disclosed that his group members will embark on a community service as a way of adding value to Nigeria stressing, ” We will never forget UAC for this training we had got’.
A female Participant, Emmanuella Odina said her life had been transformed with the quantum of information she had gathered in the course of the training.
