I heartily congratulate my dear brother, Mr Femi Otedola, CON, the Chairman, Geregu Power PLC, a renowned philanthropist and accomplished entrepreneur, on the occasion of his birthday.
Mr Otedola is an exemplary entrepreneur whose success trajectory in business has become a source of great inspiration and motivation for many budding entrepreneurs and emerging business leaders across the continent of Africa.
Through hard work and resilience, Mr Otedola built his empire from the days of humble beginnings at the CentreForce Limited, a finance and investments firm he founded, and later ventured into Insurance, Shipping, Real Estates, Commodity trading, etc, with a remarkable streak of success stories in all the ventures.
Like a proverbial cat with nine lives, Mr. Otedola had survived many turbulent times in the course of his illustrious business career, but he always emerged better and bigger to the surprise of many. His vision, determination and most especially, his unwavering trust in the power of God, has been his staying power in the highly volatile business environment where he is excelling for over three decades.
I salute his patriotism to our dear nation Nigeria, particularly the outstanding contributions he has made in education, and other sectors, and also the countless humanitarian interventions he has made across Nigeria, and beyond. Mr Otedola has become a model to men and women of means by demonstrating that the essence of material possessions is for the upliftment of others, especially the weak in the society.
On this special day, I also acknowledge the support he has been giving me since I got into this assignment to represent our esteemed people of the Lagos East Senatorial District at the National Assembly. I wish you a happy birthday and many happy returns in sound health and vitality.
