The Bureau of Public Enterprise has disclosed that the Vice-President Namadi Sambo will formally hand over 14 successor companies of PHCN to their new owners on Friday.
The electricity workers have been having a running battle with the government over what they described as an “arbitrary privatisation”of the state owned Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN.
Meanwhile, the minister of power Prof. Chinedu Nebo had claimed that the Federal Government had paid over N294bn as severance packages to the PHCN workers.
