Retirees of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) have demanded payment of their terminal benefits.
They criticised the management for not implementing conditions approved in 2021.
In a letter to President Bola Tinubu, the senior citizens who retired in 2022, said life has become hard, saying four colleagues died due to inability to pay hospital bills.
“Since retiring in 2022, we had been in a financial mess, four colleagues died due to inability to pay hospital bill.”
They appealed to Tinubu to ensure payment of their benefits and arrears from September 2021.
A letter signed by Olukayode Joseph, Sunday Idugboe and Jalal Lawal, said the retirees spent 35 years in the federal civil service but were seconded to NIMC under Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy.
