The senatorial campaign poster of Gov. Theodore Orji of Abia flooded Umuahia, the state capital today.
The posters, including banners with portraits of the governor and President Goodluck Jonathan for 2015 presidency, adorn strategic locations in the state capital.
One of such posters read: “Ochendo for Abia Central Senatorial seat: Abia Central Zone says yes. Ride on Chief T. A. Orji (Ochendo Global), your good works speak for you.
Another one says: “Go and speak for us. Powered by the G6 Forum in support of good governance.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Charlse Ajunwa, have disowned the campaign posters saying that they did not emanate from Orji adding that the governor was focused on delivering on his mandate.
“The governor has made it clear that he will only respond to the clamours for him to contest for the Senate in 2015 at the appropriate time.
“May be it is a group that just wants to express its feelings for the governor to contest,” Ajunwa said.
