The Presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubarkar cast his vote at about 10:06 am.
Speaking with journalists after voting, Atiku was optimistic that he would be declared winner of the election. He said she looked forward to a successful transition.
When asked if he would abide by the outcomes of the exercise. He replied, I am a democrat .
Earlier, President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress voted in Daura, Kastina State at around 8:06 am.
