Barely 24 hours after he reportedly got a marching order from President Muhammadu Buhari to reform the nation’s oil corporation, the newly appointed boss of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC , Dr Ibe Kachikwu has sacked eight Group Executive Directors (GED) of the corporation at a swoop.
The sacked GEDs are: Mr. Ian Udoh, Group Executive Director, Refining & Petrochemicals, Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba, Group Executive Director, Engineering and Technical; Dr David Ige, Group Executive Director, Gas& Power and Dr. Attahir Yusuf, Group Executive Director, Business Development.
Dr.Dan Efebo, Group Executive Director, Corporate Services; Mr. Bernard Otti, Group, Executive Director, Finance & Accounts.
Kachikwu assumed saddle yesterday amid high expectations. He is expected to clear the alleged corruption ridden corporation.
