The total breakdown of Nigeria’s moral and value came to the fore on Thursday when the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu disclosed that mothers of internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo boys are supporting nefarious acts of the children.
Magu who spoke in Lagos this afternoon added that the mothers are also organizing themselves into association.
According to the anti-graft agency acting chair, the mothers of these internet fraudsters justified the crime by describing their wayward children as supporters of the family.
Recall that the EFCC had recently be clamping down on Yahoo boys across the nation. Last months, scores of internet fraudsters who are students of Ladoke Akintola University were arrested with exotic cars, laptops and other exhibits.
Nigerian Hip-hop star, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley is currently standing trial on alleged cyber fraud offences.
