The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the Ondo State Governorship election,Mr Rotimi Akeredolu who has already won 13 local government areas out of 18 said he was humbled as the people as spoken through their votes.
Akeredolu made the statement through his twitter handle, @RotimiAkeredolu, in an anticipation of finally being declared the winner of the election by INEC.
“Ondo has decided and I am humbled that my people chose me. Our time to Think Anew and Act Anew has come. Thank You Ondo State. #OndoDecides”.
Out of the 18 local government areas in the state, the results of 17 have been collated and announced while one is being awaited. Read Ondo: Official INEC result update in 17 LGAs So far, Akeredolu has won fourteen (14) out of the already collated and announced results from the 18 local government areas.
Eyitayo Jegede, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate has so far won two (2) local government areas while the AD candidate, Olusola Oke has won one (1).
