Lagos State governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC , Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has vowed to continue the developmental strides of the current administration if elected the next governor of the state in 2015.
Ambode declared this yesterday at Onikan Stadium in Lagos where he formally declared his ambition to run on as governor of the state on the platform of APC.
The former Accountant-General of Lagos said, ‘ I stand for the continuation of excellence. Lagos is known for excellence where there is no room for discrimination. Regardless of your ethnic group, i am the candidate that will work for everyone’.
Ambode also boasted that the opposition APC will takeover the central government come next year calling on Nigerians to give the change which the party promises a chance.
He said, “We will not only win Lagos, but we will take over the centre. The way to do this is to call your family to vote for change. We are tired of transformation without motion”
Speaking further of his plans for Lagosians if saddled with leadership , the governorship aspirant said he would turn around the economic fortunes of the state. He pledged to lead the people to economic prosperity.
“I will lead the people to economic prosperity. I am the bridge between the elderly and the youth. I ask for your support and votes to send me to the Government House in Alausa”, Ambode declared to the admiration of thousands of supporters.
Dignitaries who joined thousands of Ambode’s supporters to grace the declaration include; tradional rulers and white cap chiefs in Lagos, chairman Bariga Local government, Hon. Akeem Sulaimon, Chairman Yaba local government, Hon Jide Jimoh among others.
