The former Governor of Bayelsa State DSP Alamasiegha is dead. The Ijaw born Politician who was fondly called Governor-General of the Ijaw nation reportedly died at University of Port-Harcourt Teaching Hospital, River state.
According to report, the former Governor slumped at his country-home and was rushed to UPHT where he gave up the ghost.
It will be recalled that Alamasiegha who was granted Presidential pardon by his political godson, Dr Goodluck Jonathan for his corruption conviction was said to have been requested by the British authorities to answer fresh case of money laundering.
The Buhari Government had indicated interest to hand over the former Governor to the United Kingdom.
