The Special Adviser on Communities and Communications to the Lagos State Governor, Hon Akeem Omoyele Sulaimon, popularly called Oris and other political jobbers are cashing in on the desperation of the embattled governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode to get re-election ticket raking in millions, COMPLETE NEWS has authoritatively gathered.
Sulaimon, a three term chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Areas, LCDA was appointed into the cabinet of Governor Ambode on 5th, February, 2018.
A competent source told COMPLETE NEWS that the former council boss and other ‘itinerant’ political jobbers are cornering lion share of the largesse the governor is currently dolling out in a desperate move to secure second term ticket.
It was gathered that governor’s aide had assured his principal that he would rally his political associates at the grassroots to ensure that the governor emerged victorious at the governorship direct primaries.
Sulaimon is said to be permanently stationed at the situation room inside the campaign office of the Ambode Mandate Support Group located on Ladoke Akintola Street, Ikeja GRA where he disbursing funds to support groups.
The source also informed that Sulaimon who has been out of power for a long time before he was appointed into Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s cabinet saw the opportunity to coordinate the governor’s re-election campaign as golden one.
The source said, ‘ Oris (Hon Sulaimon) is raking millions from huge warchest the governor is dolling out to get re-election ticket. Oris as an experienced grassroot politician knew that Ambode would never get the ticket but it a golden opportunity for them and other notable political jobbers to make huge cheap money they would not have ordinarily get working in Ambode’s cabinet”.
Meanwhile, the anointed APC governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has defeated the incumbent governor with huge margins.
