The National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and a former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu has warned thugs planning to disrupt Saturday’s elections by snatching ballot boxes stressing that President Muhammadu Buhari government will deal ruthlessly with offenders.
Tinubu said this today at the Lagos State secretariat, ACME Ikeja during a stakeholders’ meeting. He said any thug caught perpetrating violence during election will face the consequence alone.
The party leader also decried the rudeness of some of the thugs who disturbed the meeting he had earlier with influential members of the Governor’s Advisory Council, GAC before the commencement of the stakeholders’ meeting.
Tinubu who frowned at the insolence of the ‘boys’ threatened to deal with them if such unfortunate incidence repeat itself in the future.
He also urged APC members to fully accommodate defected members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP into their fold.
He said, ‘ I beg you in the name of God Almighty and my late mother, Abibat Mogaji , please accommodate the PDP defectors into your midst. You can see that me and Obanikoro drove here in the same vehicle. Demola Seriki is here with us.
Let’s us forget the past and forgive each other as God forgives us. If we don’t forgive those who transgressed against us, God will not forgive us.
Tinubu urged party members to work for the success of the party in the forth coming elections.
He summoned all the 57 council chairmen to his residence at Bourdillon Ikoyi for what he called a secret meeting.
