Oluseun Onigbinde, the lead partner of Budgit, an advocacy group for probity in Government today bemoan the extent of graft in the country decaring that the cost of corruption in Nigeria is enormous.
Onigbinde, said this at a One-Day Round Table Discussion on Cost of Corruption in Nigeria organized by CLEEN foundation in Lagos.
The Budgit boss urged the media to be more proactive in the fight against corruption saying the media remained a critical partner in the anti-graft crusade.
According to him, the Budgit’s campaign on bogus salaries had been yielding results with the reduction of the National Assembly budget to N120b from N150b.
He attributed the action of the lawmakers to the sustained public outcry against profligacy among National Assembly members.
