Kwara State Governor, Abdulfattah Ahmed has dissolved his cabinet with immediate effect.
Those affected include: commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.
Secretary to the Kwara State Government, Ahlaji Isiaka Gold who announced the dissolution in a statement today said “As you aware,governance is a dynamic process that requires constant review and deployment of resources accordingly. In view of this, the Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the State Executive Council, today dissolved the Executive Council with immediate effect”.
He added that the Governor has directed all commissioners to hand over their ministries to their respective permanent secretaries.
Governor Ahmed thanked all former commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, and special assistants for their service to the state and wished them all the best in their future endeavors.
Responding on behalf of the former members of the Executive Council, Alhaji Saka Onimago thanked the Governor for the opportunity to serve the people of Kwara State and promised the continued allegiance of all his colleagues to the government and people of Kwara State.
