After months of intrigues, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has finally dumped the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and tore his membership card in the full glare of the public.
Obasanjo was quoted to have he had no interested in the party again.
The former president has been on the logger heads with the leadership of the ruling party and the presidency for sometime now. He recently described President Jonathan as a despot who was planning to stay put in power beyond the constitutionally allowed period.
He also endorsed the candidature of former military Head of state and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Mohammadu Buhari declaring that the Kastina born retired General can put the nation back on right track and crush the Boko Haram insurgency which is ravaging the North Eastern part of Nigeria.
