Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has bowed to intense pressure to the new Lagos Land Use Charge regime.
Ambode’s Chief Press Secretary, Habib Haruna announced the reduction in a terse message on his Facebook page. He wrote, “Governor Akinwunmi Ambode reduced LUC”.
It will be recalled that Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch alongside other civil society groups protested the new LUC on Tuesday describing it as insensitive and wicked.
Lagos State Government had hiked the charges more that 400 percent.
