
The immediate past Chairman of the Asset Corporation of Nigeria, AMCON, Dr Muiz Banire, SAN has said he will react to his replacement as the chairman of the corporation in his back page column in the Sun Newspaper, tomorrow (Thursday).
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had replaced Banire with Edward Adamu, a deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN in accordance to the provision of the AMCON Act which was amended and passed into law recently.
In a series of tweets Wednesday morning, Banire, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria said he preferred to reaction in his widely read column on Thursday
He wrote, “Rather than continuous and perpetual response to individuals, I have chosen to feature my response in my column at the back page of The Sun newspaper tomorrow, the 12th day of December, 2019. Please book your copy in advance for my perspective.
He however appreciated well wishers and associates who expressed concerns over his disengagement from AMCON.
“Let me use this medium to express my appreciation for the concern shown by so many well wishers and associates on my disengagement from AMCON. I’m aware that a whole lot of you are bewildered!”, Banire wrote
