The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for Mushin Constituency 1 , Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Nureni Akinsanya, popularly called OSMAK has replied those accusing him of being the least qualified person to represent the constituency in the Assembly saying he is more than qualifis political detractors who were envious of his emergence as the ruling party candidate for the area.
He said, “ What do they mean that i am the least competent person to represent the constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Are they saying I am not educated? For crying out loud, the basic qualification to contest for public office in Nigeria is secondary school certificate. I am an holder of Higher National Diploma, HND.
You know this is season of politics, you can’t rule out all these unfounded insinuations. Then politically, I have been a councilor in twice and have a thriving property development business” .
Former Senator, Ganiyu Solomon facilitated his emergence as the party candidate at the primaries, COMPLETE NEWS reliably gathered.
APC members in Mushin constituency 1 who craved anonymity had told COMPLETE NEWS that Akinsanya was the least qualified and competent aspirants among the dozens of aspirants which included, Lekan Fatodu, a United Kingdom trained public relations professional, Sunday Olowe among others.
The incumbent lawmaker representing the constituency is a female lawyer, Mrs Funmilayo Tejuosho, who is said to be pursuing a Phd degree. Tejuosho , a former deputy speaker of the Assembly is a vocal, cosmopolitan and influential legislator in the Lagos Assembly.
