Lagos Deserves  Excellent Administrator – Ambode

The Lagos State Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APc Mr. Akinwunmi ambode has said Lagos a the centre of excellence deserves nothing less than an excellent administrator like him. According to him, Lagos as the commercial nerve of Nigeria cannot be entrusted to an intern who lacked cognate public service experience.

“We need excellent administrator for a centre of excellence. You all know what is good for Lagos. We will create N25billion Employment Trust Fund for all our unemployed youths. We will take the jobless youths off the streets.

“I have solutions for the aged and the youth. When we support the youths, they will in turn assist and support the aged parents.

“I will create access to credit so that business will thrive. You would not have to cut you neck just to get N500,000 from commercial banks.

“You will agree with me that we(the APC-led Government) has done a lot in this area. We want to continue that tradition of excellence. So, vote massively for the APC”

Ambode who spoke alongside bigwigs of the APC declared this at the rally of the party held yesterday in Somolu Local Government Area of the state.

The former Accountant-General of the state also boasted that no governorship candidate understood the needs of the people as him stressing that his foray in the public service had afforded him the opportunity to live in all the council areas of Lagos.

On next Saturday election, Ambode admonished that people should not vote based on religious, ethnic sentiments adding that the election is an opportunity for Nigeria to be rescued. He called on electorate to treasure their Permanent Voter Cards saying it is their power to effect change.

Also speaking at the rally, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola called on the youth to vote for the APC saying that the Government of the APC if elected at the centre will restore the faded glory of Nigeria.

He said, “I am addressing the youths that are here today. In your lifetime have you witnessed uninterrupted power supply for a month? (the crowd chorused NO) I witnessed uninterrupted power while growing up in Nigeria.  Have you ever not witness a scarcity of petroleum products within four years? There was no scarcity of fuel when I was young. In fact, there different types of fuel- normal and super”

“So, you will be the ones to change the situation of things through the ballot. That will be historic in Nigeria”, Fashola said.

Other prominent chieftains of the APC that stormed Somolu rally  were; the state chairman of the APC Chief Henry Ajomale, his deputy, Cardinal James Odunbaku, Senator representing Lagos East, Gbenga Ashafa, APC deputy governorship candidate, Mrs Idiat Adebule, her husband, Mr Saheed Adebule ,Chief Anthony Adefuye, the state publicity secretary, joe Igbokwe,  Hon. Akeem Sulaiman, former chairman, Bariga LCDA, Enilolobo Abdullahi, Sanya Olu, Lagos State Commissioner for Environment Mr Tunji Bello among others.
