
The President Muhammadu Buhari today warned against using his name to canvass votes ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He charged politicians to build their profile and work hard if they aspire to occupy public office rather than leveraging his name.
Buhari spoke at the State House, Abuja when some of his aides presented him a birthday card on his 77th birthday.
He also assured Nigerians that he would guarantee free, fair and credible polls in 2023.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, was also at the event.
