Wike Recalls Sacked Rivers Lecturers, Appoints New Chief Judge

The new Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike has recalled some Lecturers of the Rivers state University of Science and Technology who were sacked by former Governor Rotimi Amaechi and also appointed Justice Daisy Okocha as the Chief Judge of the state.

Wike disclosed this in his inaugural speech immediately after being sworn-in by the Chief Judge of Bayelsa state, Justice Kate Abiri.

He ordered that all the courts that were locked due to the protracted crisis that engulfed the state Judicial should be opened.

Wike, who was the Chief of State of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi before he was appointed minister under the former President Goodluck Jonathan had vowed to probe his former boss(Amaechi’s) government.
