The Editor-in- Chief of The Sun Newspaper, Mr Femi Adeshina has urged Nigerians especially friends and colleagues to wait for the formal announcement of his purported appointment as the Senior Special Media and Publicity Adviser to the President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.
Adeshina who had been receiving calls from friends and colleagues following the rumour that he has been tipped as the spokesman of the incoming Government told our correspondent who called to confirm the report said patience should be exercised until the cat is let out of the bag.
The appointment is yet to be formally announced though, it was reported that the appointment is concluded but awaiting some formality before the official announcement.
Adesina, a devout Christian is the Editor-in-Chief, The Sun Newspaper was recently re-elected as the President of the NGE for another term of two years, unopposed at the 2015 biennial convention of the Guild in Lagos.
The NGE President’s tenure was described by most of his colleagues as the ‘best the Guild has ever had’.
Under his leadership as the NGE President, the body raised substantial sum for the permanent secretariat of the NGE which is estimated to cost whopping N600million.
