Ahead of the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, delegates of the party in Oyo State, on Thursday, pledged total support for a presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
This was in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where Tinubu met with the delegates, party leaders and stakeholders whom he urged to maintain unity.
The former governor of Lagos State urged the party members to rally behind the APC governorship candidate in the state, Teslim Folarin, stressing that the party cannot win when in factions.
He urged leaders and members of the party to support the children of late political stalwarts and governors of the state who are running for various elective offices.
He then raised the hands of Dapo Lam Adesina who is running for House of Representatives, Olamiju Akala and Idris Ajimobi who are both running for seats in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Thanking the party members for their support, Tinubu assured them that he is working with other national leaders of the party to emerge as the popular and most acceptable presidential candidate of APC.
According to a statement by Tinubu Media Office, the presidential aspirant addressed the party members in Yoruba language.
