The Senate on Thursday, February 15, confirmed the nomination of Adama Oluwole Oladapo for appointment as Executive Director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund Board (NMDGIFB).
President Bola Tinubu had earlier nominated Oladapo for the position and requested the Senate to confirm him for approval in line with the establishment Act of the NMDGIFB
The resolution of the upper chamber followed its approval of the recommendation of the Committee on Gas and Petroleum Resources (Downstream) that screened Oladapo.
Also, on Thursday, the Senate eulogised the late Asagba of Asaba, Obi Chike Edozien, and observed a minute’s silence in his honour.
The resolution of the Senate followed a motion by Senator Ned Nwoko (PDP – Delta North) at plenary drawing his colleagues’ attention to the demise of the Asaba monarch.
