The Peoples Democratic Party has urged Nigerians to always remember the nation in prayers especially during this Easter celebrations.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olise Metuh who made the call in a statement issued in Abuja today also urged Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the values that unite and bind all citizens as one people under one God.
Metuh said Nigeria was blessed with human and natural resources that could be harnessed for the good of all, if the citizens learnt to live together in peace and harmony.
The ruling party spokesman also described Nigerians as peace-loving people who “had shown resilience and determination to live together and succeed as a people’.
He expressed the hope that the nation would surely overcome its challenges as exemplified in the triumph of Jesus Christ over death.
Metuh, therefore, urged Nigerians to use this year’s Easter celebrations to permanently put behind all divisive tendencies and focus only on the good of the nation and the welfare of one another.
“Let us use this Easter to rededicate ourselves to all the things that bind us together. Our continuous peace and unity remain non-negotiable.
“Let old things be passed away and let all things be new as we join hands together to ensure that the labours of our heroes past shall never be in vain,” he said.
