The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh has blamed the Presidential Campaign Committee for the woeful showing of the party at the last elections.
Metuh, who alongside other principal officers of the PDP had been pressurized to resign their position for failing to lead the party to victory said they were not responsible for Jonathan’s defeat.
According to the PDP spokesperson, a whopping N4billion out of the N7billion realised from the sales of forms were expended on the elections at all levels.
Some leaders of the party and loyalists of President Goodluck Jonathan have been having running battle with the national executives following the defeat.
The rift got to the head at the weekend when some leaders of the party indicted the excos asking them to throw in the towel.
Meanwhile, the embattled excos had vowed not to relinquish their position until their tenure elapses in March, 2016.
