The former governor of Enugu State, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, yesterday led thousands of his supporters to protest Enugu East senatorial district result in which Gilbert Nnaji was declared the winner.
The Ex-governor led protest to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the state
Nnamani later addressed the crowd around popular Okpara Square. He appealed to them to remain calm as he would seek justice in accordance to the law.
Also, yesterday, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress APC, addressed a press conference, calling for the cancellation of the Saturday’s elections in the state.
Chairman of the part in the state, Dr. Ben Nwoye, said thugs were used to chase away the party’s agents.
