
President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed satisfaction over the outcomes of the presidential election congratulating the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.
Jonathan asserted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP members and supporters should be celebrating rather than mourning saying the PDP-led Presidency had led the nation on the path of growth and entrenched national unity.
The President boasted that he had lived up to his pledge to conduct credible polls.
Meanwhile, there have been tumultuous celebrations across Nigeria. Residents in Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna, Kastina and other states were seen celebrating the victory.
The Ikoyi-home of the national leader of the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was besieged his home to celebrate the victory. Some of the dignitaries that visited Tinubu’s included; Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Governor Abiola Ajimobi among others.
