Osun state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Olusegun Agbaje, has assured that election materials for the 9 August governorship election in Osun would arrive the state as planned and would be distributed on time,
Agbaje gave the assurance on Sunday in Osogbo in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria.
He said that preparations were underway to ensure the materials arrived few days before the election as scheduled.
He said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would ensure even distribution of the materials to the appropriate quarters.
He said that the commission would also ensure distribution of the materials were completed early enough before the election.
He said that sensitive ballot papers would be kept at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) branch in the state for safety.
The commissioner pledged that the commission would do its best to conduct a credible, free and fair election.
