An inmate of the at a Benin Prison has escaped from detention. It was gathered that the inmante whose name could not be confirmed at the time of the report bolted when the prison official assigned to guide him went to eat.
The incident occurred at the headquarters of the Edo State Prison Service on Reservation Road, in Benin, the state capital.
Meanwhile, our correspondent learnt that prisons had commenced search for the fleeing inmate
