
There was a mild commotion at the National Collation center of the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC in Abuja as the former minister of Niger Delta Affairs and the agent of the Peoples Democratic Party shouted on the INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega accusing of being biased and tribalistic.
Orubebe alleged that Jega failed to receive the petitions from the PDP while he immediately sent delegation to Rivers state to investigate complaints bothered on irregularities.
He almost disrupted the commencement of the announcement of the remaining results. He was however prevailed upon.
Jega while defending himself said the purported petitions of the PDP didnt go through the right channels. He recalled that one Dr. Bello Falade of the PDP brought the petitions when he was already announcing results.
He explained further that petitions are not expected to be submitted to the INEC chairman in person but through the INEC secretary.
