In the final results aggregated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the September 19 governorship election, Godwin Obaseki has defeated his arch-rival, All Progressives Congress, APC, Osagie Ize-Iyamu with whopping margin of 84,336.
The total tally of votes indicate that Obaseki garnered 307,955 votes to defeat Obaseki who got 223,619 votes.
INEC has announced Obaseki as the winner of the election and returned him elected.
Following the declaration, wild jubilation erupted across the state.
