The Osun State Commissioner for Regional Integration, Mr. Bola Ilori, who was beaten blue and black by suspected political thugs today in Akure accused an unnamed appointee of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Ilori was assaulted by some suspected political thugs at the zonal meeting of the All Progressives Congress in Akure, the Ondo State capital.The meeting held at the International Events Centre, Akure.
Ilori, who represented Osun State at the forum, was assaulted when he left the hall to grant interview with reporters at the entrance of the hall. The commissioner cloth and underwear were torn.
Without any elaborate explanation, Ilori alleged that a top Ondo State Government official sent the thugs to attack him.
“It is the (name withheld) that sent them,” Ilori alleged.
It will be recalled that Mr Ilori defected from All Progressives Congress, APC to Alliance for Democracy in the build up to last year governorship election in Ondo State. He ran as deputy to Mr Olusola Oke on the platform of AD.
