The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening panel for the Adamawa bye-election has told Umar Fintiri who was disqualified to contest for the party governorship ticket to challenge the decision if he feels shortchanged.
Fintiri, a speaker of the Adamawa House of Assembly emerged acting governor of the state after former Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy Ngilari were impeached.
Chairman of PDP screening panel, Ibrahim Mantu, who spoke to journalists after the screening exercise on Saturday, said Fintiri was disqualified on moral grounds.
Acting governor Fintiri has faced mounting criticisms over his decision to contest the election after having masterminded the removal of Nyako.
