Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has declared that he will defeat the incumbent governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi as he defeated the governor’s godfather, Otunba Niyi Adebayo in 2003.
He bragged that he had the capacity to defeat any incumbent.
Fayose said he was sure of victory if given the opportunity to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party in the June 21 governorship election in the state.
The former governors declare this during a meeting in Ikole Ekiti today.
Fayose said, “I will not disappoint the PDP if allowed to fly the flag. I have penchant for defeating incumbent governors. I will conquer for you.
“I was the one who disgraced Fayemi’s political godfather (Adebayo) out of office in 2003 and I will still do same to his godson if given the opportunity.
“I want to make an open show of APC in the election. I want to disgrace the party. I had done it before. I have penchant for capturing a sitting governor.
“I am the lion within the PDP that can tame the Leopard in APC”.
He said he would continue to strive hard as a critical stakeholder to unite the PDP in preparation for the coming election in the state.
He said, “Our resolve to fight and win the next election is unshakeable. Our capacity to mobilise our people against this clueless and colourless regime is in our unity and strength.
