Renowned economist, activist and nationalist, Baba Oluwide Omojola, is dead. He was aged 75.
He was one of Nigeria’s first generation human right activist and advocate who was one of the detainees thrown into prison during the horrendous human right violations of the duo, Gen Ibrahim Babangida and the late Sanni Abacha.

He was rated among the 99 best economists in the world, Omjola had stint as Consultant for the UN on several research programmes on economic development in Africa
