Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has dissolved the state Exexutive Council with immediate effect.
In a statement issued today by the Secretary to the State Government, Sola Gold added that Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Liaison Officers, and Youth Employment Coordinators were also affected.
“Similarly, all boards of Government-owned companies, commissions, parastatals, and organizations other than those of statutory status, are also dissolved”, the statement noted.
The Governor ordered affected officials to handover government properties in their custody to their permanent secretaries while heads of other MDAs must handover to the most senior officers in their establishment.
Ahmed wished the commissioners and special advisers well in their future endeavour.
“ His Excellency, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed expresses sincere appreciation to all the affected political office holders for their immeasurable contributions to the success of his administration in the last four years and wishes them success in their future endeavors. He also looks forward to a continued robust partnership to move the state forward”, the statement quoted Ahmed.
