
The Federal Executive Council holds celebrated 5th anniversary for President Goodluck Jonathan as substantive President of Nigeria.
It will be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan was sworn-in on 6th May 2010 by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu, following the demise of his boss, late President Umaru Yar’adua.
“On May 6, exactly five years today, I was sworn-in as substantive President”, Jonathan remarked.
Before his ascension to the position of the President, Jonathan served as the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State and later become Governor when his boss was impeached over corruption charges.
At the session today, an ordained minister in the Anglican Communion and the Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo led the Christian prayers, the Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, led Islamic prayers.
