
Mr. Charles Otu, the news editor of an Ebonyi-based newspaper, The Voice paid an historic courtesy visit on Mr Femi Adeshina, the managing Director of the Sun Newspapers and the President of Nigerian Guild of Editors.
Adeshina was re-elected as the president of the Guild fortnight ago at the body’s conference held in Lagos.
The media czar who is believed to have greatly enjoyed the confidence of his colleagues through his inclusive style of leadership had brought notable sanity into the industry.
Notable among Adeshina’s achievements is the ongoing construction of a befitting National Secretariat which is estimated to cost over N200million.
He also provided needed mentorship to young practitioners within the media space constantly advocating for ethical practice among journalist.
Otu, a distinguished graduate of the foremost University of Nigeria, Nsukka while speaking on the visit said he came to celebrate the re-election of Mr. Adeshina describing him as an outstanding editor of all times.
He said on his facebook page, “My epochal visit to the SUN Managing Director and the Editor In Chief today(Monday) at the SUN corporate headquarters, Lagos. I had a good time talking media with the NGE president(re-elected) and an outstanding Editor of all times!”.
