The Chairman of the Labour Party in Nasarawa State, Alexander Ombugu, has called for collective efforts by stakeholders to proffer solutions to internal disputes within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ombugu made the call during a press briefing on Saturday in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
The LP chairman also dismissed rumours of his suspension from the party, describing them as fabrications by enemies of the party in the state.
He extended a hand of fellowship to all camps within the Labour Party in the state, noting that continued disagreements among members and supporters could negatively affect the party’s chances in the forthcoming primaries and the 2027 general elections.
1.6SOmbugu told journalists that, as the state chairman of the LP with full recognition from the Independent National Electoral Commission, the responsibility of uniting the party ahead of the elections rests on him and other executives, hence his call for peace and harmony.
