The second term bid of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State got a boost today as the State Chapter of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) endorsed him for a second term in office.
The PMAN governor, Alhaji Saka Danfo who spoke on behalf of hundreds of Musicians who stormed the Government House, Ilorin urged the Governor to seek re-election “to enable him complete his various ongoing projects across the state”.
In a statement issued today by the Chief Press Secretary to Ahmed, Alhaji Danfo was quoted to have highlighted various achievements of the present administration especially in the areas of health, energy, human capital development, education and youth empowerment commended the governor for the feat so far.
He stressed that seeking a second term in office would enable Governor Ahmed to consolidate on his programmes and policies which he said were geared towards enhancing socio-economic development of the state.
Responding, the State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed tasked the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria to contribute their quota to the socio-economic development of the state by passing useful information while entertaining the public.
The governor explained that his government would continue consolidate development and deliver dividends of democracy to all Kwarans regardless of any political or social difference as well as deploy resources to support infrastructural development and security, promising to always support all associations in the state.
