Few days to Eid-el-Fitri sallah, the Muslim community in Ikorodu Division prayed and showed appreciations to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA for upgrading and rehabilitating the Ikorodu Eid Prayer Ground.
A special prayer session was held for the Senator on Tuesday at the Ikorodu Central Mosque. The Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, Sheikh Alhaji Chief Imam Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowooribi, who led the prayer thanked Senator Abiru for upgrading the prayer ground to a befitting status.
The revered cleric disclosed that only Senator Tokunbo Abiru yielded the call out of six eminent people in Ikorodu the mosque reached out to for the rehabilitation.
The Grand Chief Imam said, “No special gratitude from us at the Ikorodu Central Mosque can equate the huge support Senator Abiru has done to the Muslim community in Ikorodu Division, the little we have in our capacity is to pray to Allah (S.W.T.) to continue to protect and bless him for us.”
‘’No fewer than six eminent Muslims in Ikorodu were contacted and urged to facilitate the reconstruction of the project but all to no avail.
“Surprisingly, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru responded to the clarion call once, and today we are very happy and looking forward to a lovely Eid prayer session.
“We pray to Almighty Allah for a beneficial reward in multiple folds here on earth and in the hereafter for our Distinguish Senator and his household”.
Recall that Senator Abiru, the Ekerin Adinni of Ikorodu Central Mosque, few months ago commenced the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Ikorodu Central Mosque Eid Prayer Ground situated at 35-33 Oke-Ota Ona, Ikorodu
